Back in 2011, Draper Builds Founders Erin and Bryan were ADU pioneers! They took the corner lot of their home in the Brooklyn neighborhood of inner SE Portland and built a garage with a 450 sq foot studio apartment on top. They did all of the work themselves on evenings and weekends focused on the goal of having a rental income property. Today, the ADU provides a steady stream of rental income, allowing Erin and Bryan more financial freedom.
